Use our help center from your AI tools with MCP

You can connect our help center to Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, and other AI tools. Once connected, ask your questions right where you work and get answers with links to the right articles.

Claude

Ask our help center questions straight from Claude and get answers with links to the right articles.

1. In Claude, open Settings → Connectors.

2. Click Add custom connector and paste this URL: https://greyfinch.hc.ferndesk.com/mcp

3. Click Add, then Connect. You'll be asked to sign in the first time.

That's it. Ask Claude anything about our product and it will search our help center for you.

Claude Code

Connect our help center to Claude Code with one command in your terminal:

claude mcp add --transport http greyfinch https://greyfinch.hc.ferndesk.com/mcp

Then run /mcp inside a session, pick greyfinch, and sign in when your browser opens.

ChatGPT

Use our help center from ChatGPT.

1. In ChatGPT, open Settings → Apps → Advanced settings.

2. Turn on Developer mode. This just unlocks custom connections; nothing else changes.

3. On the same page, click Create app, give it a name like "Our help center", and paste this URL: https://greyfinch.hc.ferndesk.com/mcp You'll be asked to sign in the first time.

You need a paid ChatGPT plan (Plus, Pro, Business, Enterprise, or Edu) on the web.

Cursor

Look up our docs without leaving Cursor.

1. In your home folder, open the file ~/.cursor/mcp.json (create it if it doesn't exist).

2. Add this and save:

3. Restart Cursor. It will open a sign-in window for our help center the first time it connects.

Codex CLI

Connect our help center to the Codex CLI.

Add this to ~/.codex/config.toml:

Then run codex mcp login greyfinch and sign in when your browser opens.
